- Number of teachers trained by DEF passes the 1,000 mark, representing a reach of over 25,000 students.
- Curriculum incorporating decision skills into language arts/English for grades 5-12 is introduced; teachers report it enhances the teaching of English while imparting basic decision skills.
- Second edition of Decision Quality: The Fundamentals of Making Good Decisions is released; publication becomes a basic reference book for teachers and students.
- Demonstration teaching by DEF program directors in classrooms in California and the Pacific Northwest establishes the relevancy and efficacy of decision skills for both low and high performing students.
- Prototype high school curriculum viewing U.S. history through the lens of decision making is completed.
- Standalone high school curriculum module on the fundamentals of good decision making is introduced; receives a high usability rating from educators.
- In partnership with the Stanford Center for Professional Development, DEF establishes a certificate program for teachers and administrators interested in becoming onsite experts in decision skills; courses receive the highest attendee ratings for any new course presented within the program.
- DEF raises over $100,000 during its first formal annual campaign.
- Advisory/counseling curriculum module is added to DEF educator course offerings; the new course is launched at Stanford.
- First East Coast (Philadelphia-area) public summer training institute is offered.
- Quantitative educator workshop evaluations show positive change in pre- and post assessment of decision skills knowledge.
