Nazir Ahmad
Mr. Ahmad is president of GivingWorks Inc., an organization devoted to helping public benefit agencies, philanthropic foundations, and socially responsible corporations achieve their missions. Prior to launching GivingWorks, he was a senior partner and practice leader at Strategic Decisions Group. He has founded and served on boards of several national and international nonprofit organizations and frequently speaks on the strategic choices facing business, philanthropic, and other public service enterprises. Since 2000, he has advised the World Bank on issues of organizational strategy and effectiveness, risk management, resource management, communications, and capacity building, as well as strategies in health, education, disability, and investment promotion. He founded the Overseas Development Network, which he led for 13 years. He was also involved in the planning for the Asian University for Women, which was founded to train, connect, and mobilize a new generation of women leaders in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Ahmad has a BA from Amherst College and an MA and MBA from Stanford University.
