Educator Training Programs

DEF's primary training model for educators is through workshops. Experienced DEF instructors guide teachers and administrators through the fundamentals of good decision making and demonstrate how to teach this to young people.

The programs described below are available at your school or organization as in-service training/staff development.

	The Essentials of Good Decision Making For educators, administrators, and counselors who wish to learn a framework and process for helping youths reach quality decisions. Covers the basics of good decision making and explores how they can be applied in a variety of decision situations and taught to students. Read more
	Improving Advisory and Counseling with Decision Quality For educators, administrators, advisors, and counselors who wish to apply the essentials of good decision making to advisory and counseling relationships and programs. Learn how to enhance an existing or design a new advisory or counseling program using engaging decision-based curriculum and skills. Read more
	Teaching Decision Skills in Humanities DEF instructors and experienced classroom teachers demonstrate how to integrate the teaching of decision skills into English and history/social studies classes. Read more
