The Essentials of Good Decision Making
This course is for educators, administrators, and counselors who wish to learn a framework and process for helping young people reach quality decisions. The course covers the basics of good decision making and explores how they can be applied in a variety of decision situations and taught to students. The course features:
- A framework for defining the requirements of Decision Quality
- A proven process for achieving Decision Quality
- Instruction by experts in the art and science of good decision making
- Interactive, hands-on format with breakout groups and case studies
- Sessions tailored to the school’s or organization’s needs
- Sample decision skills lesson plans and classroom materials.
When: At the convenience of the school/organization and online through the Stanford Center for Professional Development
Length: 1 to 5 days, depending on extent of material covered and specific needs of the sponsoring organization
Who should attend: Teachers, administrators, counselors, mentors, coaches, and other adults who work with youth
