Advising and Counseling with Decision Quality
Working with teens gives opportunity to empower them with Decision Skills
The primary goal of our Advising and Counseling with Decision Quality materials is to help young people make better decisions in their lives. Youth face many challenges of different types and magnitudes, and adults can help them make better decisions, particularly when confronted with difficult situations. The materials serve to help familiarize adults with Decision Quality as defined by our proven decision concepts and to then extend their knowledge and decision tools to their relationships with youth.
Our materials are free to use, but we ask that, if you use them professionally, that you use them with attribution. We would also like your feedback and to hear about your experiences with Decision Skills!
Adults will be able to:
-
Deepen their understanding of decision concepts and skills
-
Utilize decision skills as a way to achieve existing advisory and counseling goals
-
Explore successful lesson plans and resources
-
Develop or enhance existing curriculum by using prompts provided
-
Create authentic advisor and counselor relationships
