Decision Education Gains Momentum at the Wayfinder Summit

Less than a year after launching the Decision Education curriculum on the Wayfinder platform, schools across the country are already integrating the content in creative and impactful ways.

Earlier this month, Decision Education Foundation Executive Director Chris Spetzler attended the Wayfinder Summit in San Antonio, where he connected directly with educators bringing decision skills into their classrooms.

One exciting conversation stood out: While the curriculum is primarily designed for high school students, a private school shared how they’ve adapted “decision fitness” concepts for sixth graders. Their innovation echoes feedback we heard from Oregon counselors last fall about the importance of introducing strong decision habits earlier than high school. We are energized by the possibility of expanding this work to reach younger students.

Chris also met with high school educators who are using the Decision Education modules with juniors and seniors during advisory periods. The 30-minute Wayfinder lessons are a natural fit for shorter advisory blocks, giving schools a practical, structured way to help students think through major post–high school decisions — from college and career paths to financial and personal choices.

We’re excited about our continued partnership with Wayfinder and always excited to continue supporting innovative teachers share Decision Education with students.
