Decision Leadership and Negotiation Summer Camp
Illinois Tech's welcomes high schools students to elevate their futures in this 2-week summer camp.
For the first two weeks of July, sixteen high school students converged on the Illinois Tech campus to immerse themselves in decision making skills. The students came from a wide variety of locations and backgrounds bringing perspectives from inner-city Chicago all the way to Poland. Their diversity resulted in even greater discussion and learning about decision making.
DEF Executive Director Chris Spetzler led the two-week workshop intertwining decision education, real-life skills, and cultural enrichment. The students were introduced to the Decision Chain through games and activities, keeping the energy high. They then put their skills to use learning how to negotiate with decision science. As a culminating project, students created games and then tested each other. They defended and challenged the games using their decision skills.
